Delete your data
UGC Planner, operated by UP UGC Planner LLC, gives you a one-tap way to delete your account and everything associated with it. This page explains exactly what happens and how to request deletion if you can't open the app.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open UGC Planner on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
- Go to Settings (tap your avatar, then the gear / Settings).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The action is immediate and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@ugcplanner.app from the address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify ownership of the email and complete the deletion within 30 days (typically within 24 hours).
What gets deleted
- Your account record and sign-in tokens.
- Every business record we hold for you: brand deals, invoices, calendar events, expenses, ideas, and notes.
- Your Cloud Backup & Sync records and stored backup snapshot.
- Files you uploaded and any share links you created, including Feed Planner media.
- Your public portfolio and rate-card PDFs. Their links stop working immediately and the files are deleted from storage.
- Your push-notification tokens (APNS for iOS, FCM for Android).
- Your Instagram connection. We delete the stored access token and any cached profile snapshot (followers, posts, bio, profile picture URL). This severs UGC Planner's access to your Instagram data. You can additionally revoke UGC Planner from Instagram → Apps and websites.
Your subscription is cancelled separately
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — Apple and Google manage billing, not us. To stop charges: on iOS open Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android open the Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions. You can cancel before or after deleting the account.
What we retain
After deletion we no longer hold your name, email, business records, or files. A few minimal items are kept on purpose:
- Subscription / billing records (transaction and plan identifiers, dates) — kept for the period tax and accounting law requires, not linked to your name or contact details, as described in our Privacy Policy. Payment is handled by Apple and Google, who also keep their own billing records under their rules.
- De-identified product statistics — usage events with your account and device identifiers removed, no longer linked to you.
- Standard request logs (such as an IP address and timestamp) held briefly by our hosting and database providers before they age out automatically.
- A short technical confirmation that your deletion completed — counts and dates only, tied to no user.
- A minimal suppression record — a one-way cryptographic pseudonym (not your account id or transaction id in any readable form) that lets us recognise a later billing message from Apple or Google as belonging to a closed account and discard its identifiers instead of re-storing them. It is kept for that purpose only. Because it is a pseudonym rather than fully anonymous data, we treat it as personal data and use it for nothing else.
While the deletion is finishing we also hold a short-lived internal record used only to erase your files; it is removed automatically once erasure completes, within hours.
Data on your device
Deleting your account from inside the app also clears the app's local copy of data on that device. If you used On this device only mode, structured business records were not automatically backed up to our servers, although content you deliberately uploaded, published, shared, or submitted to an online feature may have been processed as explained in the Privacy Policy. Network data is protected with HTTPS/TLS, and cloud records are protected with the encryption described in that Policy.
Timeline
In-app deletion takes effect immediately: your sessions are revoked and every public link stops working when you confirm. Erasure of stored records and files normally completes within minutes; if a storage operation fails temporarily, we retry automatically until it completes. Email requests are completed within 30 days (typically within 24 hours). Our storage providers (Cloudflare R2 for uploaded files and media, and Neon Postgres for records and encrypted Cloud Backup & Sync data) process deletion under their applicable retention periods, and short-lived caches age out automatically.
Your other rights
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, and similar laws). See our Privacy Policy for the full list and how to exercise them.
